Thrilling Taiwan (Part 4-End)

Do things cannot do halfway. Even if the posts are getting too boring for readers to bear, even if I am down with chicken pox now, I still gotta finish! Anyway, here is the last part already. Thanks for those who bothered to read all or at least some, as you can see, a lot of effort need to be put in de ah. Hopefully these posts have made you wanna go Taiwan too! And my advice is: Don't go with a tour group : ) Here comes the finale:

Modern Toilet Restaurant

We already saw this restaurant on our first day here. Previously saw it on "都是大发现" screened on Channel U some time ago, and whee, now we were there ourselves. At first didn't want to go there, because I thought I wouldn't have the appetite looking at those "poo". But not that exaggerating after all. When you go there, you will know that the amount of poo isn't that much to make you puke :D The set meal is very filling. Great lunch for me, but not for my sis.

Not very nice, according to my sister.

I didn't knew I was ordering lasagna because the Chinese name sounds grand "奶油燻鸡焗烤", but anyway, yum!

We were having our meals on the 2nd floor, and halfway through, we heard someone below asking another, "你要吃什么大便", haha, found it funny more than disgusting. It turned out to be friends from SG. Two girls in their early twenties, and their mum. The two girls are seriously interesting people. The waitress went to take their order and blabber on and on about what kind of set meals they offer etc. Then, she left the women to decide on their choices. Immediately, one of the girls said to another "What was she talking about ah?" Haha...cuteness...

Cinema 7, Ximending

Haha...I don't find it a waste of money la. At least experience watching a movie in Taiwan. We watched "Sherlock Holmes". Love it the way I love "National Teasure". Like I said before, I like those kind of witty characters, very suave. Moreover, friendship is also displayed in "Sherlock Holmes". And importantly, brilliant acting skills. Haiz, don't want to describe much le, in conclusion it is a very good movie.

FYI, Robert Downey JR, the actor who acted as Sherlock Holmes, won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy on 17 Jan. Oh ya, Taiwan really does quite a bit of recycling work. If you had bought popcorn/drinks, etc, you take the container outside after the movie and there will be a staff to sort out the which category of materials they belong to. Recycling bins are also found in the MRT stations. Cool~

Nothing much, just here to quench my sister's thirst for more accessories.

Shihlin Night Market

Woohoo, back again. The crowd differs greatly on a weekend and on a weekend. Saw a pair of running shoes I really really liked....but haiz, out of budget

One big cup of Red Tea for only NT$25

HotStar

Translated: Big intestine wrap small intestine. I love the sausauge and the glutinous rice. The vegetables...eew, a bit extra. Sometimes our dear camera chooses to flash while sometimes it doesn't. This is one of the time it flashes, and the background will be dark, hence the nice focus on the food. But aiya, this picture got one light at the back.

Super early la...but life in Taiwan is more vibrant a night, so even if we had lingered in Ximending also nothing much. Time to return to SG. Sianess thinking of me having to recive O level results. Of course it would be great if I could make it to NJC, but 1 point below cut-off. Taiwan I really really lots of fun, definitely will like to go back again. Hey, anyway I only went north this time leh. While at the waiting place to board plane, overheard one interesting conversation:

Mum to daughter: What is your name?
Daughter (probably around 6): You know my name already ma, don't ask stupid question.

Haha, see how children can be so difficult to handle nowadays... Watched "Love Happens" on plane. Not nice, that's all. Kind of expected storyline la. No feeling of "So great to be home!" when we reached Changi. I will miss Taiwan!
