Life's Good

Typing this post while waiting for the Panadol to take effect, for my hair to dry, and for further digestion of food. Yesterday (since it has passed 12) was a day to show how wonderful life can be. And this definitely has to be documented down because I rarely rejoice over life over here.

Met Cindy, Jason and Weilun for dinner at Two Chefs Eating Place. Pretty good zi char, I would say. The signature butter pork ribs could have a coat that is more moist so that the milk powder can attach more easily to them. Other than that, awesome dinner. Since Weilun is flying off to the UK soon, we specially chose a place serving food that he probably wouldn't have a lot of chances to eat in foreign land. So thoughtful of us. He commented on my Instagram photo: "Thanks for coming! So honoured to be within your circle." Haha, what?!?! Words so sweet can get diabetes just hearing them. So flattered, fancy a person with A*STAR scholarship to ICL saying those words to me. Went to have a chance at Sunday Folks' waffles and ice cream thereafter. Waited in queue for 20 minutes for seats, and when placing our order, we were told that we had to wait another 30 minutes for the waffles. In the end just ended up ordering ice cream, which was good enough, since it should be the highlight, not so much of the waffle.

After desserts, I went to meet Ben, Joe, Waihou, and Yurong at Kallang. Joe is also flying off to the UK. Hope he copes well. Kind of worried for him actually, lol. Waihou drove us around, so much convenience. Had Rocher Beancurd, then durian, then a drink at a coffeehouse, all at Geylang. Yurong was having a lot of fun poking fun at me. "Junwei thought, 'Eh not durian only meh?' in the end we having beancurd AND durian." "You know why Junwei is eating so slowly? Because he doesn't like durians. We should eat watermelons next time." "Junwei never experienced sitting at a coffeehouse, just drinking and watching stupid shows right? THIS IS HOW WE ROLL." He didn't seem to be like this the last time. Anyway, he said, the more he jokes with you, the closer he is to you. Ok can. Actually I also had fun faking anger at Waihou. For instance, when he asked me how school is, I replied, "Hi bastard." I really wasn't angry, just a good time to make use of past (happened and unhappened) events to shoot him. Anyway, he drove me home again. For someone who stays at the other end of Singapore, this is a very warm gesture. Not to mention Yurong and him paid for the entire night's expenses. But being a very nice person, I still stuffed some money to them. Nice chat along the way home. Seriously, whatever issue it is, it's best to talk it out to iron it out.
