Yesterday, was a long-awaited day. After we had a movie on the 26 Dec 07', we promised to hold at least another in this end of year holidays. After been through arduous months of studying, homework-ing, CCA-ing, and schooling, the promised was fulfilled yesterday. Just a pity that Yanping had something on -.- This outing indeed had lots of problems. It was really not easy to get everyone together, but I think we passed the 'tests'.
Our dear friend Brandon was actually in a state of confusion. He forgot the meet-up and was wondering if he should leave house after he was done with his packing. Well, so he became the latest to come. When everyone has arrived, we went to have lunch at Mos Burger. Had a small chat over the food, and they called me director, as they thought I was the 'organiser', but I didn't do much actually, in fact in some cases, I didn't think things were proceeding smoothly... Thereafter, went to Cass' house to play. Hmm, watched a movie called '10 Things I Hate About You'. Yanping had to leave, so could not finish to show. The movie was quite okay, but I prefer 'Mean Girls'. Had several rounds of poker with Cindy, Kaiting, Cass and Bing Cai. Later Brandon and Bing Cai were at the computer, looking at some Maple videos. As you might know, Pirate job is going to be released in Maplesea soon, and Brandon just recently got addicted to this game once again.
Wanted to play badminton, but I am unsure why it never happened. I remember Cass going to the cupboard to take the rackets...lol. Then we decided on a movie time, which was 1940, at Marina Square. So off we went in the MRT, and chatting along the way...
We had lunch first, at Shokudo, Citylink Mall. Recommended by Cass, this Japanese restaurant serves 1 scoop of sorbet or 1 waffle at S$3.50+. We ordered our own pastas and while waiting, played a game, which Kaiting emerged as the winner. They served us iced water, and then our food came. Devour time. A waitress walked pass and asked if wanted my water refilled. I replied 'No' and she walked away. Gosh, I never asked the rest. Then they said the waitress was biased. Haha. The meal was expensive -.- there was a change of 25 cents which no one wanted to take. So, I gave it back to the waitress. 'Keep the change.' Isn't that cool? But I kept silent la.
After dinner, we continued walking to Marina Square. It was quite beautiful. Colourful lights and ornaments adorned the place, and there was already a Christmas atmosphere. Went to buy the tickets first. Madagascar 2, good choice yea? Alas, only the first row from the front was available. This caused us to be quite sad of course, as it was not really comfortable. Anyway, we proceeded with a stroll, since we still had much time. Saw something gross in the toilet, which you can probably imagine. Overflowed somemore. Then, a group of people caught our attention. Cass was wondering what the commotion was about, so we went up to have a look. They were playing a claw machine. Think they spent quite an amount on that.
We never walked far. Bought a combo, consisting of a popcorn and a drink. There was a DIY plane model too. So, went into the cinema, and it was...small. So we watched the advertisements, and some movies seemed rather nice. They even showed one that was coming to theatres in Jan 2009. At first of course was not used to sitting at the very front. The light was way too bright and the image way too big. But then no choice, luckily it was a great movie. Madagascar 2, highly recommended. Have good, hearty laughs throughout!
After the movie, we took some pictures. Haiz, there wasn't a digital camera, so we had to make do with handphones. Had some people to take for us, and I will remember this man, who seemed very annoyed. We saw the Singapore Flyer. It was too far though. Took some pictures of the night scenery. A sense of peacefulness.
It was getting late, so decided to return home. Walked some distance and saw the Flyer again. This time, it was closer. Cass brought us a to walking a long route. But it's okay, we had more interaction? Saw some empty buses at the sides of the road. TV Mobile was still screening inside. Such a waste of electricity huh? Saw the Flyer again. This is is even closer. Haha, never expected that. Walking on the streets was a pleasure.
Guess we are all bushed. Finally reached the MRT station. Crowded, but it was expected. Saw Brina, well, this is unexpected. She had an interesting experience, but I guess she is in HK now? Okay, in conclusion, it can be said to be a tiring but fun day. Time check: Reached home at 2347.
I think that the group picture is the nicest.
Somebody leaving Singapore tomorrow le still never tag. Aww, sad. Hope those who are overseas enjoy themselves!
