Tribute to Zhang Jike

Daniel got me to try table tennis back in 2010 or 2011, and I had zero flair in it. I've always thought it's a difficult sport - high speed and rotation of a small ball, hit by a small paddle on a small table. I liked two players back then - Ma Long and Zhang Jike, and they are still my favourites. Zhang Jike's aggressive shots caught me. I haven't been following him closely over the years, and I wouldn't say I know how much he had been through all this time just by watching the following montage, but it sure is damn touching, with a well-picked background music and god-like edit. It's sad because we know that there are not many years left before Jike's retirement, not even sure if he's up for Tokyo 2020. The 4 years of preparation take a huge toll on the players, not to mention many young talents who threaten to create a new era. Same applies to Ma Long.

Most of the footage were probably taken from Jike winning the 2011 World Championships in Rotterdam, 2011 World Cup in Paris, and 2012 Olympic Games in London, thus completing a grand slam.
